Hello,
Im a worker in Poland and I was a full time student before, I applied for work permit On 31.05.2024 in Lodz and I did the finger prints on 8 January 2025, until today I didnt receive any decision or updates for my application, is that normal to take more than 6 month for decision please ? I cannot reach them in Lodz and most of the employees didnt speak english, each time when I go there they told me the same thing that I have to wait
Just for information that I applied by my self without a lawyer, please let me know if that normal or not about this delay or I have to do something, thank you in adavance for your help :)

According to the Code of Administrative Procedure, a decision on a work permit should be issued without undue delay, no later than within one month, and in particularly complicated cases - no later than two months. Such a long waiting time is unusual. Please submit a written reminder to the Łódź Voivode, citing the exceeding of statutory deadlines. You can also consider filing a complaint about the inaction of the body. Please contact me to discuss the details and conduct the case.
